I recently took these (and several more photos) of this vehicle in the U.K. As can be seen, it is British Army. However its function, is as the support / transport vehicle for one of the British 'Drone' vehicles...
Can any of you identify this vehicle? Thanks, Jim

Hi Jim
Here's what I have just found :
http://www.army.mod.uk/equipment/muv/muv_tum.htm
It's not much but now we have a name for it....
It seems that these trucks were previously built by Dodge/Chrysler in England ("Dodge 50" series). Here's another link with more details :
http://www.dodge50.co.uk/index.htm
I've also came across an extract from a 1995 House of Commons debate in which the buying of this truck, rather than Land-Rovers, by the UK Army was call into question (most of the 846 trucks were said to be unroadworthy...)
HTH (a little...)

there was a problem with them being top heavy and prone to rolling these are mostly used by sig/inf/ra regts they come with either a hard body fitted for comms or as a truck for moving troops and light guns normally a light gun and it's crew will be attached to one of these,
heres some I took earlier in the year
these with the hard body are for battery control
as a gun tractor
and a battery one cammo'ed up

the RAF use them a lot of them too, as mike says they are unpopular for being top heavy and easy to roll.
