Hi all,
I am planning on doing an ASW (Anti Submarine Warfare) scheme on my SBD5 Dauntless. The main color of the plane is insignia white with dark gull gray wing tops and areas on the top and sides of the body.
I am thinking of trying preshading the panel lines but have never done it before. White is a color that does not cover very well so I was wondering just what color I should use for the preshading. Black would probably be way TOO dark and look bad trying to cover it up with the white. A shade of gray would be the best but how dark or light of a shade of gray would be the best? Or is preshading not such a good idea with white as the aircraft color.
I'll be checking through the forums and features,...etc and studying up on the technic but any help you preshading pros can give me will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks and good modeling,
Wayne

I am by no means a pro ...but if white is the primary color , then for me a light gray would work on the pre-shading.
