Hey I just finished my UM SU-76 Assault Gun, and wanted you all to see it. All the parts fit great, and the photo-etch was easy to use. I painted it in overall dark green from MM Acryl, then lightyly sprayed flat white in certain areas to give the effect of a fading white-wash. Then dry-brushed with dark green, and given a brown oil wash. It was a very fun and quick build of a cool, rarely-kitted machine. Take a look!

I wished the shots we're more close up, but I was trying out a tri-pod.

Looks good, I'll have to remember to revisit this thread when I get home, the laptop here at work does not show colors as well as my desktop.

I just shot some much more close up shots of it. Enjoy! I am surprised at how big this 1/72 kit looks on the screen. It is very small - even for 1/72

Hi Iron Fist,

Excellent build and weathering! Did you add any additional details on the kit? Are those thin wire rings on the mantlet?

Beautiful work,
Wanze

Thanks wanze, the kit came with PE lift rings, but they were too flat, so i replaced them with some soft wire. Thanks for all the comments guys!

1/72 scale ? Amazing. Im building the 1/35 scale from maquette (SU-76M) for incoming and this seems to have more detail. I love your finish and weathering. Excellent!
One thing stands out though. On this model there is a grill/exhaust type thingy at both sides. Mines is just on the left if you look at the front of the tank! Is this what makes the "M" version or could anybody explain why this is! Cheers
