Here is my latest work. Italeri's DUKW. Scratch-built the engine and compartment, wheel pants, and added a transfer case and wires and tubing under the intake grate. Drain holes along hull filled in as well.
Here it is.

Very nice! Did you use parts of the Tamiya deuce engine or is that all scratch?

No Tamiya parts there. The engine was a left over block from some in-line 6, I think from the Revell Unimog. I cut off unnecessary parts and added what needed to be there for a WWII engine. Found engine photos here [url]http://www.kmk-scaleworld.be/walkAround/DUKW/[url]

The hawsers are painted first with MM Dark Tan, washed with a brown-grey color, and lastly drybrushed with MM Armor Sand, a rusty brown color.
