Hi I’m building Dragons Panther A D-Day anniversary model. I’m not looking forward to the tracks. Are there any after market tracks for this tank.
Any info would be appreciated.

Hi Mossieram
To be honest I've built 2 DML Panther and IMHO the tracks are amongst the easiest of the plastic indy links to assemble.

Don't use the early type track on your A you need the late type track with the ice cleats... Friul and MK do have them ..Just get the late type.

I have same kit And plan on modeling that unit. Archer makes dry tranfers for LAH. No turret numbers but it has the jumping panther for the turret. Check out their site

I didn't realise that the LAH had a jumping panther on the turret. Isn’t that a personal symbol ?? In squadron/signals Panzer Colors III and SS Armor there is a picture of a LAH panther, and it doesn’t show a jumping panther, only LSSAH carved in the Zimmerit, with the numbers on the schürtzen.
Are dry transfers, the rub on kind, and are they any good on Zimmerit ??
Any tips on how to build them ?? Fit first and then paint ??

That Panther with the panther jumping was an early A command tank the number was R02 but this was on the side skirt armor... The zimmerit was removed from behind the jumping panther and the letters LSSAH were carved into the zimmerit... The exhaust seems to be just two pipes as seen more on D models . So there is a bit to do to get this tank from your kit. If you are not comfortable with dry transfers you could find the old tamiya sheet of german markings ..I know I remember seeing it on one of their sheets.
