Hi, I’m building Dragons Panther A D-Day anniversary model. I have some additional questions.
1. Where can I find some information about Panther A’s in general ??
2. Where can I find some information about the type of zimmerit used ??
3. Are there any aftermarket sets or decals available ?? I want to do a LAH version.
Any help would be appreciated.

There are many good books out there with information about the Panther tanks. I would suggest you head to the library or book store and see what you can find. You can then use these books and books about the Normandy campaign to determine which zimeritt pattern you wish to use. There are quite a few patterns that I have seen in photos. It seems the most common is the pattern that can be replicated using the Tamiya tool.
To do a LAH tank, I don't think you will need after market decals. The most important decal you would need for this is the divisional symbol. This symbol would be the key in the shield. One key in the shield would be the 1st SS Panzer Div. LAH marking. Two crossed keys in the shield would be the marking for 1st SS Panzer Corps LAH. A key crossed with a single "lightning bolt " S in the shield would be the symbol of the 12th SS Panzer Division "Hitlerjugend", which was a part of the 1st SS Panzer Corps LAH. These decals are usually common in most German armor kits. I may have some in storage myself if you need one. The numerals for the tank should be common enough that you can use what came in the kit.

Several nice zimmerit sets for these kits. Assuming you have the Dragon Late A there is the Atak set which I purchased from Missionmodels (great service). I would recommend it if you don't want to roll your own.
