I saw a picture in this months Fine Scale MOdeler of a HUMVEE with a Bushmaster weapon system on it. Is there a kit of this or did someone kitbash/scratch it? If kit, who makes it and where can I get it? Looked through several Hobbyshop websites for it.

I believe Tamiya's first issue HUMVEE had the Bushmaster. I do believe that version is out of production.

Here is one of the first feature articles I did for Armorama back in 2002: The Much Maligned Italeri HMMWVs. The original Tamiya HMMWV is actually the Italeri HMMWV with an Italeri produced sprue adding the Bushmaster gun and upper body. Information on this kit is on page 6 of the article.
It has been reissued recently, within the last two years. Eduard does a photoetched set for it as well. It is set #35209.
The actual kit represents a prototype that was not accepted for use by the US Army or Marines.

OK, now for the $64, 000 question? Where can I get one? This is too cool for school.

They were never a big seller. There's probably one sitting on the shelves of the better stocked hobby shops. I think there might be one at my local store. Mission Models lists it on their site. Give them a call to see if they have one.

Speaking of the Humvee, what variant was it?

I'm not sure what you mean. It was purpose built prototype - it was not based on any standardized Humvee variant.

I see... I thought it was an M998 Humvee outfitted with the Bushmaster. Thanks!

I saw that in the magazine too. I thought, "Man, that is cool!" And, "Where can I get one of those?!"

I just saw this post on Missing Links flea market: http://www.network54.com/Forum/thread?forumid=47214&messageid=1092155847.OK, now for the $64, 000 question? Where can I get one? This is too cool for school.
This person is selling one of the Tamiya Bushmaster kits fairly cheaply. I believe I've dealt with the seller before, and I've never been burned in an online deal. That's about as much of an endorsement as I can give. I'm not connected with this seller in any way other than I think I've bought or traded a kit with him before.

IIRC (I don't have the box, I tossed it ), it was called the M1025 HMMWV with M242 Bushmaster... I built it a while back and posted pics, (probly lost since changing hosts) but had since removed the Bushmaster cannon to put on my never finished Twilight 2K campaign build Bradley
I only got the kit a few years ago at the most; You might try asking your local hobby shop if it's still available for order or look for it on ebay...

Pic of it as is (sorry for the lack of detail, cheap camera) minus the Bushmaster...
All in all a nice kit...

Well, link didn't work... look in the gallery under my name... it will be converted back as soon as I can find the cannon...

Well, mission Models had sold out. I've fired off an offer to that guy on Missing Links Rob gave me. Anybody else have one in their local Hobby store or not planning to build? My local shops all closed down (other than Hobby Lobby which doesn't have any old kits. Hoping to have some time Saturday to check out the shop 35 miles from me, but not too hopefull with them.
