When dry brushing you would use a lighter shade of the base color, I've read that you then use progressively lighter shades for higher details. So the way I understand it on a tank fro example: you dry brush the skirt the lighter colour the weld seams then lighter color the highest parts such as bolts etc? Is this correct or do you brush everything then lighten with subsequent brushes to emphasize the highest parts. Does dry brushing give a faded appearance to a vehicle and if so do you dry brush the whole vehicle?

WHat I do is drybrush everything that is higher than the body with a shade LIGHTER than the base coat. Then I keep adding white to the mixture the higher the thing is. So a handle would be lighter than a bolt, for instance. If this doesn't help, this acticle helped me Hope it helps you too Drybrushing
