Hi guys,
Last night I sprayed my DUKW with it's first coat of paint. The paint went on perfect. Everything was just find. This morning I went in to check on it and to my horror saw an inch long piece of hair stuck to the hood! First, I have no idea even where this hair came from, {I'm bald, and its the wrong color for the dog.} I did remove it but now I have a line where the hair was. Do I need to sand the vehicle down and repaint it or does anyone know of a another way to fix this.
Thanks in advance

Try to sand it down using 1200 grit then repaint it.

I have cats and no matter how careful I am, I end up with hair on my models before, during, and after the painting. I pick them off with a pair of tweezers and sand where the lines were.
Since I also have an enourmous goatee and a proclivity to shed, I also drop bit of hair on the model here and there. I'd like to call it creative weathering.

"...creative weathering..." :-) :-) :-)
Yeah, on my M60A1 I had 2 nice pieces of puppy hair that settled onto it after I'd painted it and gone upstairs. I picked them off, sanded them down a bit and sprayed another little bit on them. No problem, just a minor hassle. Now, where I can see the problem arising is in a custom mixed color. I was shooting straight OD.

In the future, try what I do (I am bald also) to avoid the hair/dust problem. Get a large plastic container...your Wife probably has twenty she got through Tupperware and never used. Paint the model, place it in the container and cover. In the morning, there she is--- free of dust and hairballs.

First thing if you used acrylic based paints dont sand take a rag with some windex on it and rub it down it should take of the paint. But if you used enamal based paints go to a beauty supply shop get some polishing sticks and polish it out. These sticks are fabulous and dont cost that much and range from all types of grits

Paint a paint-chip or paint-score on top of it. Its a scale 3D effect!

Hi all
Thanks guys, for the fast repys, and the ideas to fix the problem. I'm still perplexed as to where that hair came from in the first place. :-) :-) .
Thanks again
