Hi Karl ...This is always difficult for me to figure out... If you are just trying to make a Tiger 1,Then you have done a good job so far .(now this is only to help you make a more accurate Tiger if you want to and does not take away from what you have done on your kit ).If you are trying to depict a vehicle of the 502 Schwer Panzer Abteilung ,well you got a few details wrong.. The lights placed on the front was only done by the 501st and then only by the 1st company...The muffler covers were also a 501 design which were more square and had vent ribs. Now if you are doing a 502 vehicle with these early front fenders well they did not have the bolts on the sides of the hull for the fenders There were no side fenders or rear fenders on these very early tigers ...no muffler covers and the mufflers themselves had no flame covers over them but were just the hole. As for the stowage box on the back of the turret it should either not be there or be of the early type with the straps on the side.. There was no feifel system on the eary ones either. Now if you change the front fenders ,then alot of the other details aren't as wrong .. you can have the side fenders feifel system etc. .. Your numbers are not right for an early 502 vehicle either... they should be white out line only as well as the crosses white outline only .. One thing you should fix whether you were trying to make it an accurate model or not remove the eight little molded on weld marks for the front hull spare track rack... Now there are alot of other things that need to be changed but I've hit the biggies here ..If you want more info I'd be glad to help you out ... Please take this as just trying to help ...As I said before it does look like a Tiger and if that's what you wanted ..more power to you .. Keep up the good work ..

Hi Karl:
Richard is wright. The colour is is ok for an early Tiger I of sPzAbt 502 but it has features of one of the sPzAbt 501 (Tunisian Tiger). In my kit I modified the position of the headlights and didn´t use the front mudguards and Feifel filters.
The job is coming out very well, I like it. Are those the AM tracks ?

Another comment.
For the reason that the Tiger weights several tons, I think that the tracks should be more muddy.
From the pictures, it is shown that the Tiger goes on the mud not in it.

Ive got a question!
For the Mud did you use regular mud?
Im trying to do something like that. but im totally lost!
Do i use mud/water/ glue?
Will the glue keep the mud look wet still?

Nice build TigerIV. I'm not much of a Tiger expert but I do know a bit about good ol' muck. What's a tiger weight, about some odd 20-30 tons? Mud unless it was super compacted BEFORE it got wet (i.e. a lot of traffic over it) will usually show deeper indentations especially if its "virgin" mud much like ''virgin" snow. Sorry to anybody offended by the "v" word.
Secondly any vehicle travelling over mud will churn it a bit especially at the edges of the track imprints. Actually if its not to wet you can actually tell the direction of travel based on the mud "sprayed" at the edges of the tracks. Sorry I have no photos but just imagine a motor boat cutting through the water creating spray. The same thing as you go through mud except the spray doesn't travel as far and basically sits on the untouched mud unlike water spray which merges back with well, water. You may want to add a bit of churned mud to the edges of the mud tracks.
Nice mud color and consistency by the way. Hope that wasn't too nitpicky.

i have never made world war 2 armour but i do like to look at a lot of them, and this i must say is one of the best i have seen so far (no offence to any other Tiger models)...i think the weight comment is correct however, but i think the mud effect and the track marks are fantastic

I mentioned another thing when I looked better at the photos. The mud looks like chocolate on the cake and it seems delicious. Ready to eat........including Tiger. :-) :-) :-)
Note: No offenses guys, just made a joke.
