I would like to know, in terms of the rubber on the roadwheels, what is the color of the rubber?
Does vallejo have a color for the rubber on the roadwheels?

I always mix up some tamiya earth with some black to get a worn look to the rubber...My two cents worth..

yes, it is not black, because not even new tires look black, but a dark grey would be more apropiate. it depends on the weathering too, as worn tires start to look king of brown
2cents + 2cents = the answer :-)

Ciao Wolf-Leader,
Dark gray with slightly lighter highlights or tan drybrush (for dust.) Don't forget to make some cuts and tears in the roadwheels to portray normal wear and tear.
Ciao for now
Rob

Given the difference in quality between German rubber and American rubber (especially towards the end of WWll) are there any special brands of paint which capture the subtle variences in the shades of gray which would distinguish German rubber from American rubber??
