Here's something I did quite some time ago and now I found out I actually made a photo of it... Warrior turret: Academy kit, AA update, brass sheet, wiring and brass tubing, CAST-a-COAT anti-slip surface and some putty as well...

Comments are welcome... Ah yes, the hull is still waiting on the bench.

It will be finished as Op Telic vehicle... AA set is quite nice, but I suppose new Academy Desert Warrior kit would stop people from getting the AA update set in the future cause I've heard Academy improved many things that were rather bad in the original Warrior kit.

I just ordered the Warrior "IRAQ 2003" kit from Academy today hopeful they'll have it in stock.

Do all of those updates custom or are they from a PE set that I can get.Your kit looks awsome I wish I could do something that good.

I was going to do a dio in Basra from OIF with Chally 2 and a Warrior with a T-62 near water or a bridge.

There are some nice figures from blast-models that I wouldn't mind trying. Does anyone make a PE or resin interior for the Warrior kit.

I have gotten away from modern USA armour for awhile so the next best thing is British AFV.

Happy Modeling

Tom,

Unfortunatelly, there is no such thing as aftermarket interior kit and scratchbuilding is an only solution here... If you need references on the interior just let me know... I have some pics that would be usefull.

The update set I used on the kit is Accurate Armour's Warrior ICV conversion (here: Warrior conversions) and some things are custom made... I would really suggest getting AA update if you are building older Academy Warrior kit. I have heard new kit has most flaws from the old kit improved so I don't know if AA update is necessary here... AA has some nice looking Brit figures that could be usefull for you. Check it out...
