I've got a hankerin (desire to all you non-southerners)to have an M-54 series 5 ton in my collection. Something about that aircleaner and side stack appeals to me. I know Real models makes 2 different conversion kits for the m-925 Italerie kit. One for the cargo truck one for a tractor version. I am curious if there was/is a plastic kit out there of this beast that is a tad cheaper than the $50-60 for the conversion kit and the additional cost of buying the out of production M-925 Italerie kit.. Sorry Animal and Gunny, I lack your scratch building skills

There is no plastic kit out there except for the resin ones, if you can find them. As far as the M-925 kits I find them easy to come by at Internet Hobbies. You can use the Italeri M-925 shelter truck kit. I think the last batch that I bought were going for $14.00 US. If you can get a Real model resin conversion kit you will have a little tweaking to do. Gunnie or I would be glad to help you to make any little correction needed to make it a top notch example.

Well, Christmas is coming up in a couple of months. If I can't get on a regular salary before then, maybe I can convince someone to get me a conversion kit for that.
