Where any of thse used in OIF because I was going to get one but wasn't sure if they were still used. I can get them for a real good price. I was thinking of doing a dio with one and a Humvee but not sure if it would work in a OIF setting.
LAV-25 Piranha Mortar Carrier ( This Eduard PE )
LAV-25 TUA ( This is a Eduard PE set )
LAV-25 ( This is a Eduard PE set )
LAV-25 TUA ( This is a full kit )
LAV-25 Mortar Carrier ( This one is a full kit )
Which set or sets give me a regular LAV -25 not something different or are only the motor carrier's being used in OIF.
Thanks

I'm not sure if I understand your question. Both LAV-25 and LAV-M (mortar) were used during OIF. I'm not sure about LAV-TUA, but I guess they were also used. To build LAV-25 you obviously need Italeri (or Revell of Germany) LAV-25 kit and it is not listed in your post.
LAV-25 is the one with 25mm Bushmaster cannon. All other versions do not actually have "-25" in their name.

As Vodnik says, the "regular" turreted one is the LAV-25. Italeri makes one (259) that is also reboxed by Revell of Germany (03054).
The TUA variant is "TOW Under Armor" which is basically the hammerhead TOW launcher also seen on the Army M901 ITV or M981 FIST-V.
All of these LAV variants were used during OIF.

This site isn't OIF, but ODS.. it's a Marine's story, documented well with pics of his LAV TUA and the accompanying LAV 25s. Good diorama ideas, if you aren't absolute about Iraqi Freedom.

Concord came out with two books after the war and one had quite abit of photos of the LAV 25. Also, you should be able to find some OIF photos by doing a search on the internet.

My unit had all three variants you have listed as well as the LAV LOG and LAV-R (recovery variant), and 1st LAR also brought the AD variant which was being phased out. The AT vehicle saw little action, our weapons platoon only fired a handful of missiles, as we encountered very few Iraqi tanks still crewed and willing to fight. For a time all the LAR assets (1st, 2nd and 3rd with attached companies from 4th LAR to round them out) were "owned" by TF Tripoli; later 4th LAR (minus C Co.) was the only Marine Reserve unit to command active FMF units under the name TF Scorpion (4th LAR's callsign). Sorry for the rambling, I served with A Co. 4th LAR, and we rounded out 1st LAR aka 'The Highlanders'. Any questions about the LAV-25 feel free to PM me.
