how is the kit like? is it a good/fun build?

i'm eyeing this kit for quite some time heh...i'm a big panther fan!

You do mean the WWII German Panther not the new Panther mine clearing tank on the M1 chassis, right?

I've built both the DML Panther II and F, but did not try to make either as a fully corrected show stopper.
Best advice is to swing over to Missing Links and search in the Axis WWII forum.
The short version general consensus is that the turret is wrong (too large, overhangs the hull sides) and now I am misremembering... either the Panther F or Panther II are based on the Italeri Panther hull and there are troubles with that too.
