Very good work for a first dio!!!
Im also currious about the grass?
and i also have one suggestion: Even though the grass is large Tiger is a heavy tank! so grass behind him would have been "layed down" especially under the track and on places where tracks passed!
otherwise, a very nice "little" (tiger is about 25cm in 1/35) diorama for you!
cheers
Mirko

First you must drill many holes in the base, enough so that almost no groundwork will be seen on the finished base once the grass is attached .The grass is unraveled jute rope, cut to lengths about 2 inches long (guess) and two or three lengths per hole.
this has happened, but the pictures don't show it for some reason.
The dust is pastel, applied with a brush.

I spent about five minutes drilling the holes, and about three hours filling them.I just unraveled the top of the jute lengths, and left the bottom alone, that helped alot in putting it in the holes.
(EDIT) I'd say there would be about 100-120 holes in the base, just in case you're wondering.

nice job on your first dio. the grass looks very nice. the rust looks good on the tank, but i see some red on the barrel and various places throughout. if that is supposed to be rust? if so, it seems too red. good job on your first dio!

I think the tank is positioned well, you don't need to worry about it.

Congrats on your 1st dio. I am impressed with the tank. That grass was probably harder that the model tank.
The tank looks great the rust helps alot what method did you use for the rust.
Happy Modeling
