Well, Im about to do it and Id like any tips out there! But, WHAT am I talking about?
Im going to take an Academy KIFV (K-200) 1/35 but replace the turret with the Vulcan turret from the Academy M163 A1/A2 1/35 kit. But why?
Simple, the Korean government wanted to develop a new KIFV suited for AA duty, but in 2003 strikers burned the factory down and production was haleted/cancelled! There are a few pics though and I think it looks awesome!
So, has anyone tried this? Do you know if it requires some major chassi refitting?

I have done one. It is pretty easy actually. The only mods are needed in the turret top, none on the chasis. Basically, you need to cut the roof arae from the M163, the added plate area. Next, cut the center section of the roof out of the KIFV. Next, swap roof sections and cut, fill ,and sand to get the fit right.
Here is the result:
And in a dio with a K200:
I actually saw quite a few of these in Korea when I was stationed there in '99-2000. They were quite numerous.
Good luck.
