I picked up the Omega-K (IBG) 1/72 scale Russian tractor-trailer fuel truck. Does anyone have any references for this vehicle?
I should thank Roo, he's the one who got me looking for Braille scale tractor trailer trucks for his heavy haulers campaign.

Russian Motor Books at Armybook.com has a monograph that includes the KrAZ-255. No L listed, but it might have it. I think I might have a copy downstairs.

Thanks Kurt, I wonder if the "L" means it is a tractor as opposed to a cargo truck? It looks like a Zil-157 but is different.
Any translation for the word ОГНЕОПАСНО? I'm thinking it says FLAMMABLE.

Rob: Just checked - the monograph only covers the 255B, which is the regular cargo bed version. It's much bigger than a 157, I think. like a 7-1/2 ton vs. a 2-1/2 ton.
You are right with the marking. "ОГНЕОПАСНО" or "ogieopasno" means "fire danger"

Hey Sabot, I think I have some reference of the -255 chassis, let me just find it for you - I was looking for it in case Roden came out with one in 1/35. You're both right on the word(OGNEOPASNO-in English letters), it pretty much means Flameable. KrAZ-255 is much bigger than the ZIL-157, it's even bigger than Ural-4320(if we compare to 6x6 KrAZ), which is a giant compared to the ZIL. Hope to see some pics of your build.

Well, here is one of the links with the refueller. Unfortunatly it turned out it's not the KrAZ-255L, but the TZ-22 never the less, the site has some good shots of the suspension, interior and the chassis. I was not able to find my other link of the chassis itself(I have to go on our other computer) but I will try to find it today or tomorrow. Be patient because the site is kind of slow and you have to go down the page for the specific truck.
EDIT: well, I'm on my other computer and... nooooooooooooooo! The other link doesn't work anymore, I hope it's just temporary so here's the address any way http://www.russianarms.ru/auto/kraz/kraz-255/
