building an M48 and I'm looking for some figures to replace the poor Tamiya offerings anyone know of any suitable figs?

have you looked at verlindens catalog. try www.verlinden-productions.com they have some nice figures.

I have two interesting sets that only need some slight adjustments Academy kit #1369 Republic of Korea tank crew figures and tamiya kit #35117 US armored Troops. Verlinden offerings are certainly far superior but at an average of $12 or so a pop..... depends on how much you are willing to spend.
