hi my question:
How can i paint realistic wood (shovvels,axes etc.. on AFV's).?

One way I use:
paint the handles is dessert yellow (acrylic)
let it dry and then U paint with burnt sienna or raw umber oilpaint
let it dry for 30-40 minutes and with a stiff bruch remove the oilpaint in one direction to create a woodgrain
