If my memory serves me right their are two different tires being used on Hummers...ones made by Goodyear and the other type are made by Michelin. Does anyone make the Michelin pattern tires in resin? And if they do does anyone want to trade for a set of Goodyear tires in Resin?
Thanks
Scott

Both the old bias-ply tires and new radial tires are made by Goodyear. Yes, I just checked a second ago. Here is a link to the old and new patterns: HMMWV. The old style are Goodyear Wrangler R/T II and the new ones are Goodyear Wrangler MT. Note that the number of bolts along the rim differ too.

Sabot,
Can the new tires be used on the old pattern wheels? I know we have both types in our motor pool, but I never looked at the rims closely. Does changing to the new tire require a new rim? Also, is there any mixing of new/old allowed on the same vehicle? (I don't hink so, but am curious if I am right.)

No, just like on a car, all radial or all bias, no mixing. The new tires should only be used on the new rims, but I have seen new tires on old rims. There is a safety of use message (SOUM) but when I was in 1st Cav, you've got to use what you can get. So we had new tires on old wheels with the new wheels on order. It was rather simple to consolidate the older remaining wheels onto one vehicle as tires got flat.Sabot,

I posted some tire detail photos in the Tire Warehouse album, in the Major Rob's Motorpool album.

The tank workshop do excellent tyre sets as well, including ones with snow chains. The snow chain ones are reference 0080 and the aggressive pattern ones are reference 0081. I have a load in stock for the moment. Price runs 9.90 euros for public, and 10% off for A/c.com. You have to of course add exact postage on top. Here are the items
