I have been checking a lot of pain conversioncharts on what humbrol color to use instead of Tamiyas XF-60 Dark yellow. But out of all the charts I have checked I think none have given the same color no...
So, which would you recommend, the suggestions are Humbrol no 83, 84 or 94.
Some help would be needed...

mmmmmm
I see what you mean.
On Urban Frederiksson's Color Reference Charts on the IPMS Stockholm site, the Tamiya to Humbrol conversion lists 83 (Orche) as being the equivalent. On the cross conversion of Humbrol to Tamiya, 83 is said to be XF57; 84 (Mid Stone) is said to be XF60.
Other sources I have list 83 as being the XF60 equivalent.
I think you are going to have to research at what you are painting and then select the closest hue for the job...

IMHO 83 is the closest I could find out of the bottle. It seems to be very close to XF 57 from Tamiya. That is how I have marked it on my conversion chart. Also Dont forget that the proper shade of Dunklegelb has been so highly debated over the years that it seems to range from a pale tan to a bright greenish yellow if you listent to all the critics out there. I think #83 and or XF 57 are a good middle of the road compromise. HTH
