hey were jerry cans metal or plastic? i need to know cuz i wanna do chips and scratches and need to kno if its metal

I don't know about modern jerry cans but during WWII they were metal.
A common misconseption, I currently live in US but was born and lived in Ukraine for 12 years

Modern fuel and water jerry cans are plastic. However, there are still a lot of the older metal style out there as well.

Ian, a cool way to do the chips would be to base coat the cans with a metal color, then spray the final color and when still wet ball up some masking tape and tap it around the can. Gives very effective chipping effect. Cheers Kevin
