How would one simulate overgrown grass? You know, that kind of grass you would find in your backyard if you decided not mow it for a couple of months. The static grass from Woodland Scenics is nice but a bit short. Any ideas?

An old (or cheap new) house paint brush. Just trim to your desired height.

or you could shave your head, and use your hair , but make sure you save some to make a detail brush with.

Well the bristles from a household paintbrush are too thick. They would work well for the elephant grass. Not quite what I am looking for.

Hi Marty ...........I use Woodland Scenic's Tall grass
for just such a thing. It's about 3in. long and you
can cut it down to the size you need.

FG174 Medium Green ( IT COME IN 3 OTHER SHADES ALSO ).
$3.19 ea.

go to your local dept.store .ask to speak with the people who do the displays.offer to give them a few bucks to buy any of there old manequinn wigs.most will be happy to get something for things they will never use again and you have enough grass to last years.
9 times outa 10 you don't even have to paint it.
good luck.
