Hello all!

It has been a while since i found some time to do some modelling, but this summer finally allowed me some time to build one
The model ive made is a mark III tank which was used during the Kursk campaign in 1943.
Since a tank was almost like a home to its crew, i did some scratchbuilding (stowage rack on the back, metal frames to hold extra tracklinks on the hull for added protection) and added some stowage to it to show how tankcrews transported their "furniture". The result can be seen in the pictures below

The tankcrewfigure i used is a Dragon modelkit. This kit contained some photoetched parts for the headphones and throatmicrophones, but what was missing was the wiring. So i made the wiring from the figure leading into the tank using some very small electric wire as you can see in the closeup picture i made of the figure.
The tankmodel is a Revel Germany one and obviously in 1/35 scale

Other details:
Jordi Rubio barrel, everything hand painted.
Verlinden/Tamiya/Dragon stowage, Dragon figure, individual track links

Enjoy

HI, super job there. I really like all the 'extras you've put on the back. esp the jacket. And a really good job on the figure too. Little beard and all. The 'extras' really add that personal touch. The wiring on the headphone and throat mike is a really nice touch as well. Great!

Take care, Sgirty

How did you replicate the German uniform blouse that is laying on the turret?
Nice work.

Hey guys,

Great you all like it

That uniform i used was something i still had laying around. It is part of a stowage kit of Verlinden which includes quite some accesoires you can use for german armored vehicles or dioramas. I believe it was the Marder III M stowage kit.

The TC is a bit too clean and fresh compared to his vehicle, especally one during Kursk.
Also all that kit you have straped to the turret skirt, should be on the inside between the skirt and actual turret wall or not their at all (the canteens would be IN the tank with the crewmembers).

Other than that it looks like a really good job!

Excellent work ! I really like the brushed-on camo scheme. Looks like a field-applied paint job. Weathering is excellent, and I do like that uniform on the stwage bin. Tracks look great too.

Figure looks awesome, but the 5 o'clock shadow looks funny, and I'm not sure why. Other then that you have a very fine looking Pz Kpfw III Ausf M !

Cheers !!

Great Job!! I LOVE the uniform sitting on the top, it's a great touch of realism, and the canteens hanging are another part that make it soo good! :-)
