Hi. Im putting together a little diorama in 1/72 of a early challenger 1 of the S.F.O.R. passing a knocked out Bosnian or Serbian vehicle preferably a M.B.T. trouble is I cant tell a 55 from a 62 or whatever, can anyone tell me what would have been the most common vehicle used out there. many thanks in advance

The T-55 is more common than the T-62. The T-55 kit made by PST is a lot better model than the Italeri (ex-Esci) T-62.

T55s were in common use during the Bosnia conflict. Occasionally, one might come across a T34!

ACE has released a M-84 which is the Yugoslavian version of the T-72. You can use one of those as well.
