Hi Guys,
At last, I finally completed my very first dio.... :-) . Thanks to you guys. There are probably other minor corrections w/c I would fix later....
Other suggestions are still very much welcome.

Thanks for the vote of confidence....
What I want to build would probably be a dio using a 105MM M4A3 Sherman using Philippines as a setting. I just can't find a more detailed information on what Sherman verions US used during the liberation of the Philippines...and figs to use. The only figs. I could think of are the DML Iwo Jima release...
Cheers

Great dio.
I see you decided to put the figure with the binoculars on the tank... looks good there...
If memory serves (which it doesn't too often) there was a figure (tanker?) reading the newspaper on the far side of the tank? Is it still there? Any pics of the opposite side of the dio?
Or have I got the wrong dio? :-)

Oh, you go the right dio and yes, he's still there but this time I added a cigarette and re-colored the hands (I'm not satisfied with the color and might fix it later -- I used a flash that is why it looks glossy).
Mr. Roo: If not for you guys and your patience in answering my queries, commenting and suggesting improvements I would not have finished the dio the way you see it now. The dio was built by more than one modeller...
Thanks

Arvin -
Most excellent. You really brought it all together. Makes me feel like I should be jumping up, grabbing my weapon, and finding a position. Next move is to find a contest to enter it in. Great job and I'm inspired. Anxious to see your next efforts.

Thank you very much for the kind words. Don't worry guys I still have more kits in boxes that I need to finish...and for sure I'll ask for for involve you guys again by asking so many questions:-) . Thanks in advance
BTW, just a parting tip for those who have a hard time making a very good wood finish. I used self-adhesive decorative vinyl..it sold by Ace Hardware...give it a try it as an altermative....

Dear Captain,
Nice work. I look forward to you reporting a medal or two. The only ideas i might suggest is the uniformity of the wall colors. Walls are dirtier closer to the ground. You can use washes, or pastels to blend in more "grunge" lower down. I have even spritzed some matte medium, mixed with water and white glue and a drop or two of dish soap as a surfactant (to break down the bubbles) on a wall and "fly-specked" some extremely fine dirt on the wall.
"Fly-specking" is taking the medium you are using like dirt or pastel dust, etc. on a creased piece of paper that is horizontal to the wall and blowing down on a 45 degree angle to randomly scatter the medium. It will stick to the wetted wall just like the real thing.

Wow mon capitain! Considering too, the lack of resources in the Philippines like for making dioramas. That is one hell of a build. I wish I had the patience to do that.
I keep it coming sir.
