I am building a 1/6 tiger and want to make it r/c
I have NEVER done this before so I need some help. Being no electrician I am wondering this. I was given 3 motors and they look perfect however yhey were used by plugging them into an outlet 115volts will they work with a battery or do I need 12 or 24 volt motors. Any reccomendations or advice. thanks , Mark

hi,

we use 24V motors with more than 125W in our 1/7 leo2 . I think it is depending on the weight of your model, when you have more than 50kg use a 24V motor , under 50kg is a 12V motor OK

I have an old leo1a1 in scale 1/7 and there are 12V wiper-motors used in, running verry well and you can get them verry cheap out of crashed cars ....

another adress were you can get help is on www.rcpanzer.de , there is a special english thread, there is a guy "Dave" from england an he has post alot of unbelievibel fortos from a VERRY scale tiger

sorry for my bad english

with best regards from bavaria

Mark,

Are you building a Field of Armor Tiger 1?
If so, I am too and I have installed the Tamiya
DMD/MF units.
Let me know and I can tell you what I have done.
