I bought a Paasche D500 compressor at a garage sale for $5.00. I have the huge Lowe's compressor in the basement that works fine. However, the Paasche compressor is much quieter. It does not have a pressure regulator on it. My question is this: Can I put a pressure regulator on a diaphragm compressor? Will it over heat if I set the out flow pressure too low? Just wondering. I know I got a real bargain but my wife is anxious for me to get it set up so I don't wake the neighbors when the air tank on the current compressor runs low.
