Hello, Im building a dio (WW2) at this time but needs some ideas for accessories. I will like to make them myself. Those accessories will be insert in a RSO tractor or on the dio it self.
The dio is beeing build in this manner: I have a german RSO tractor on a small rock bridge, water is coming out of a hole in the bridge and the driver is drinking the water. On each site of the dio, there is some grass to put some objects.
Some of the ideas that I have gather are as follow. A umbrella, wood crates, ladder, chair, ....??? and here I am ...
If you have good ideas or sites, it will be appreciated.

Magicbart, first welcome to
Armorama. Secondly what type of scene are you planning? Is it in the city or countryside? the answers to these questions will help answer the question you have posed here. Let us know and we will help you out! Cheers Kevin

Hello,
I am, in fact, new to that forum, but I have been building diorama for a few years. I will enventually try to post a few photos of my realisation.
It is Countryside... I'm trying to find also small détails that can enhanced the realism of the scene.
The photos(medium quality) of the bridge in progress is available in my gallery.

It is the little details like you're thinking about that really make a diorama "speak". The Verlinden books (great source) are packed full of great ideas if you look for those little details in his dioramas. As with where it is taking place, you also might want to consider where he's going or where he has been. Close to front, things like small arms, binoculars, maps would be needed readily at hand. If he's heading to rear, more casual items like canteens/buckets to fill for the troops or food/cooking items even. How about a small animal in bushes waiting for it's chance to get a drink. My two cents worth. Let us know how it develops,
