Nice! I knew Italeri would be a nice kit. :-) I'm saving up for the Italeri. The figs are a nice bonus.

You gotta love Terry's site. Thanks Terry!!!

Too bad we can't get the best of both kits. Italeri's accuracy with Trumpeter's PE. Oh well, I'm still stuck with the Verlinden offering in my closet, purchased a month before these were announced.

Yes,
For a waterline model you can always get the resin kit from Verlinden as well.

What is curious, is that Italeri has worked out a deal with DML (The Infantry figures included in the Italeri kit are DML's 29th Inf. Div. ones) previously, Italeri had an 'marketing' relationship with Tamiya in Japan... Could we be seeing a 'relaignment' here?

It truly is an excellent article - precisely the kind of thing we need more of here! ....Jim

So I'd need the Italeri kit, with the RN parts and .50s from Trumpeter. Maybe Italeri will release another version with Royal Navy parts?

Italeri has had a long business association with DML. I know I've picked up many issues of the Italeri catalogue with the DML catalogue included for free in the past.

The RN differences are easily hacked, IMHO.

Of course, I am "hacked" because something about the TR LCM proportions bothered me but I drove on anyway. Then once the IT vs TR came out, I got some LCM drawings & figured out the hull was about a 1/2" too big -- with part of that in the hull itself & part in the sides above the hull.

Right not I'm trying to figure out how to take mine apart and chop out the excess, or barring that, chopping it out while built. I am not a happy camper ...

I've got to second Romanowski's point. The initial DML Shermans (both WW2 and Korean M4A3E8) included lower hulls and suspensions from Italeri Shermans. Italeri boxed some DML kits for sale in Europe like the BMP.

I wonder if there will be much ado like the H&F-EM debate?
