Hi all
I wish to get sprue g of the trumpeter kfor challenger 2. This sprue just contains the parts required for the combat dozer blade which i would then construct and place on my tamya challenger 2. How could i go about this. Whould someone in this community with this fullu sprue sell me the parts. Or anyone know of a address where i can order that sprue?

Thanks in advance

Will,

I belive (if memory is correect) that Rainbow 10 (forget their url) can potentially obtain sprues form Trumpeter. Do a google and see if that helps.

Rainbow Ten only sell parts for Tamiya and Bandai kits. I have never heard of anyone offering Trumpeter parts.

yes i think that is right. I went on the web site and all i can do is order an entire trumpeter model which i dont want to do. Thanks anyway. Will my local model shop that sells trumpeter models be able to order just one sprue and the instruction manual for me?. On most model instruction manuals they have a slip which you can send of to get get another sprue for that model and you can select which one. The problem is you have to have the instruction manual to get the slip

I realy want this dozer blade so any suggestions would appreicated

Guys,

Right now, yes Tamiya and Bindi are the only ones he is listing. But, I saw, and was looking for, some Trumpeter parts awhile back. Did not have what I wanted and have not been over to the site in some time. Perhaps jsut a short lived option or just not available right now. Go figure.......

Will,
Lucky Model has Trumpeter's Chally 2 with dozer blade listed for 9.99$
I think this price plus ground shipping (about 7USD) is decent enough for the dozer blade sprue considering theres a complete model of a Challenger 2 there too and you can scavange the side skirts for your Tamiya Chally as most C2s in Bosnia that I've seen in the news didnt sport the uparmored skirts.

Elad; thanks for the link. I now the price is amazing but the thing is i have already got a 2 tamiya Challenger 2's. Once compplated in KFOR paint and the ojne i wish to fix the dozer blade to will be the OIF version. So realy i wish to just buy the approriate sprues, so i have sent an email to them explaining this so i shall see what happens

Mikeli125; That sounds a realy good idea if all else fails but i cant seem to find a web address for a UK model distributor called Pocket Bond. Do you have a URL?

thanks all for the help

EDIT: I just want to ask all your opinions on this matter which does involve the dozer blade. First a bit of background. I have already bought 1 Tamiya desertised Chally 2 and fully constructed it to Op-Telic fasion )with TEC, CID panels, canvaas skirts etc) and all i did was just paint it black and green as i dont realy like desert tanks. Now what i am planning is buying another Tamiya chally 2 and adding the trumpeter dozer blade and i was originaly going to paint it in desert camo. However reading the latest Military in Scale magazine a modeler has done a accurate KFOR challenger conversion (without CID panels, TEC and canvas skirts) with a dozer blade and it looks dam well amazing. Another tamiya conversion saw the addition of camo netting to the turret which i would also do. So i am asking if this would be stupid

To buy the trumpeter KFOR model just for the dozer blade
To buy the tamiya challenger 2 but this time to construct it accuratly and also paint it green and black with Anti slip surface on

So i would end up with 2 KFOR style challenger 2's. 1 completely accurate with dozer blade and camo netting and anti slip surface and another which is in OP-Telic dress with black and green paint.

I hope i have not babbled but i cant make my mind up, plus their is a question of not wasteing money

thanks again

well, thats your call but you could always take the desired sprue and give the remaining kit as a present to a fellow modeler or to someone who wishes to start on modelling or to someone who can't afford to build a new model frequently.
finally, just remember there is no such thing as too many models

You can order parts sprues from Hobby Link Japan. It sounds like a drawn out process but I would think it worth it when the only other prospect is shelling out for an entire kit just to retrive a few bits.

thank you very much for that, and to everyone else that has presented an option for me. I mean no offence to others for their advice but i feel this may be the most likely bet.

thx again

Just be very careful as the cost of this single sprue plus costs of shipping from Japan may actually be higher than the cost of the whole Trumpeter kit purchased locally. Of course I may be wrong, but I know it is possible.

EDIT: I just read the information on HLJ website and it says: "HobbyLink Japan is happy to get Japanese model parts for customers". Trumpeter is CHINESE company, not Japanese, so HLJ will not get parts from their products. Sorry, still no luck!
