Hello all, Greetings from Pennsylvania...
I'm calling on all posters for a little Dio help...Location, Korea, 1950...Focus on an F84E Thunderjet Bomber, not in flight, but parked on the ground...How about some ideas for a creative Dio or vignette? I'm stuck, will appreciate any ideas...

Sincerely,
Gunny
Angela

Hmmmm...

1) A maintenance scene where mechanics open up the aircraft. Put some vehicles beside it (i.e. a tanker truck or something)

2) Loading weaponry

3) About to take off. A pilot is about to close the canopy. A "guide" is at the front of the airplane directing the aircraft which way to go.

4) An accident. Quite unique. An injured and burned mechanic lies behind the aircraft. A bunch of medical personnel run towards him. You can put an ambulance, too. Apparently, he was standing behind when he got burned by the aircraft's jet blast.

Just my 10 cents.

There have been some very interesting runway misshap photos that I've seen. AC skidded off the the runway, nose gear broke, skidded into a snow bank....
If the kit allows for panel opening and you're into scratch building, maintenance scenarios can be cool, open a panel and expose the insides.
How about guys painting nose art.... one guy painting some others looking on, one guy holding up a magazine in comparison.....

How about something similar to what Angela was saying about a accident but with a twist. The plane has just landed he took a great deal of flak on a mission up north. The pilot by chance and by luck has gotten his broken bird back home and on the ground, but hes as busted up as his plane. the dio shows the bird at the end of the runway. skid marks show where he had to "stand" on the brakes. Fire, EMS and ground crews are racing towards the plane to get to the pilot before the plane burst into flames

Just a thought

Something funny?

You can have decals or kill marks on the side of the aircraft canopy, telling people that the pilot of this aircraft is a top gun.

The plane is on the tarmac. A couple of high ranking officers are at the side of the plane. The pilot is going down from the cockpit when suddenly...he slips, his hands flailing wildly as he tries to stop himself falling on his face...

...and possibly embarassing himself from those high ranking officers.
