How accurate would it be for a M46 Patton belonging to 1st marine div. stationed near Chang-Dan, Korea, 1952, to have been taken out by a T34/85? need the info, as it is for a dio that is currently in the planning stage.....also, a great web site for german uniforms, soliders in the field, and the like is http://stolz.by.ru/ , thanks 4 any help.

Don't know that I can help much, but IIRC by 1952 most, if not all, of the T-34/85's deployed by CCF had been destroyed. Whatever limited supply of armor that the CCF possessed after 1950 was never committed to direct combat.

I'm not exactly sure where Chang-Dan is, nor an expert on the Korean War, but I was surfing around on the Army's Center of Military History website today for some info on the Korean War. The link for the homepage is
Center of Military History
If you click on the Online Pubs (I think) it's sorted by time period, and vast amounts of information on the Korean War.
I spotted an account below from a U.S. soldier...doesn't mention T-34 specifically, but shows that tanks were still in use by CCF/DPRK in '52.
"From 0500 hours on 12 June 52, the enemy [the UNC] fought against us on Hill 190.8 and battled heroically for 5 days. The result of the fighting on the 16th was 2300 enemy casualties and 9 tanks destroyed. We had an honorable victory as above. "
