Hi All,
I am looking for 1/35 scale of russian armoured wheeld vehicles from the cold war or post cold war era. Things like Fuchs or LAV but then the Russian "counterparts" However I can't find and kits from manufacturers like ICM or Zvezda. Am I looking in the wrong direction? I am planning on building a dio with a scratchbuild SS-25 sickle + TEL.
regards Matthijs

DML, Arsenal and Eastern Express make former Warsaw Pact armored vehicles. Zvezda recently starting reboxing the DML BTR series and Revell has boxed the DML BRDM as well.
IIRC DML did the BTR-70, BTR-80, BRDM-2, BRDM-3, Arsenal did the BRDM-1 which was reboxed by Eastern Express. Verlinden Trophy Models did a resin BTR-60 too.

There are also BTR-152's from Skif and BTR-40 from Capitan models and SAGGER conversions from A.E.F. Designs(very bad) and PANZERSHOP(?????) for the BRDM-2. Also there are numerous conversions for the BTR-70/80 from SP Designs and Capitan.

Hi,
SP Design which is a kind of cottage industry brand releases a lot of full kits and conversion of numerous wheeled vehicles.
You could be interested in them as they're quite cheap. They often need some extra work but are always worth the money you'll spend.
cheers

HI
As mentioned Zvezda is your best bet for the -80 and -70. No really good -60 was ever released.
SP Designs makes some great -80 convs.
A friend did an SS-25 ... what a monster in 1/35 !
DML makes a BRDM-2 which is useful. Do not forget the URAL 4320, ZIL 157 or GAZ-66 !!! Which were also found.
