Is the M242 25mm Model Point barrel appropriate to use on the Tamiya M2 Bradley kit (the one with the interior)? If so, is there any modification that needs to be done to accomodate it? Also, do you think it's worth the money? That little barrel's mighty expensive!

Is the Model Point barrel fluted or smooth? If it is smooth, it would work with the original M2 kit. I have not seen the Model Point version, but I don't see any problems with the kit barrel. All you have to do is drill out the end and it looks great. I personally think replacement barrels are a gimic and don't buy them. If you have enough skill, you can make most kit barrels look great. I can't justify spending the extra money on something as small as a barrel.

The MP one is smooth but with a fairly accurate flash suppressor. It works fine in the Tamiya turret and requires cutting the taper off the mantlet. And filling depending on how sharp your razor saw is. H

Hi,
As mentioned the barrel is the early unfluted type.
There is a brief review here that shows the barrel and work required to fit to the Tamiya kits.
PMMS
Cheers
