Hope this helps, as per another topic...

I think there are many factors to consider when purchasing an airbrush (just to confuse you further )than gravity or bottom feed. E.g. internal mix vs external mix, single action vs dual/double action, side cup feed, what type of paint is being used, size of needle, etc, etc, etc... All very confusing, I know.

I use a Badger knockoff/look-alike spraygun for the large surface area stuff, and have a fancier Badger airbrush for the fine work (sorry, can't remember the model number).

The badger website
http://www.badger-airbrush.com/
has quite a nice chart which may help you select the model best suited to your needs.

Badger could probably provide you with the names of resellers.

Since your in the United states and prob on a budget i'll give you this tip.

If you finanally decide on a badger airbrush the best place to get them is at a Local Michales Arts and craft store or a local A.C. Moore store if there is one in your area. Both these stores give out flyers in their local area's in sunday's papers with a coupon 40% -50% off of any one item in the store.. A.C. Moore mostly does their coupons around chrismass and other holidays while Michales does it about every week.

I have a Cresendo 175 and a Universal 360 (which is almost exactly like the anthiem 155.. all these airbrushs are very good though i recomend the 360 as the best all around as it can do both gravity feed and siphon feed..

air compressors are sold in the same stores but are a little pricy...

First of all, welcome to the obsession, umm, i mean hobby!
I would recommend an Iwata airbrush, the Revolution series is inexpensive, at least the same cost as a any of the Badgers. I also have the Campbell-Hausfeld compressor, with the two gallon tank, which is a nice compressor. You can find them on ebay for $100 or so.
Check out Dixie Art and Iwata Page. Good Luck! And remember to have fun with it.

The easiest a/b to use, IMHO is the Paasche H. With the #1 tip you can get pretty fine lines and for general use is the #3.
I have been using one for about 5 years now and I don't see myself getting another different a/b.
