Have decided to try various kinds of finished Zimmeritt, So I first got Tamiyas Panther with Eduards photoetched.

And second I got Cavaliers resin Zimmeritt, have started using it on Tamiyas Tiger, but have also a set for Tamiyas Panther, so it will give me a better chance to compare.

But at this stage I must say that I like the resin version best. It's simpler to work with, and looks a lot better then the etched counterpart.

Posting a picture here, some more can be found in my gallery.

Hi, Have to agree with you here. What PE Zimmerit I've used looks kind of thick compared to the resin stuff. And, relatively speaking, this Zimmerit was pretty thin on the real vehicles anyway. I've tried the Atack Zimmerit and it's very nice too. I think it's even thinner than the Cavalier, which is no longer being made I 've heard tell.

Take care, Sgirty

Compared I find the PE to perfect. The Cavalier zimmeritt have battlescars and other "faults" while the PE has none of these.

I have found my Cavalier sets on Ebay, and usualy get a few hits every time i search.
