I think some of you (while well intentioned) are missing the basic division of the site. Vehicles-Aircraft-Naval-Figures (and Dioramas). We call it Armor/AFV but this certainly encompasses softskins. Unless you meant Ford F-150s? hehe

I think this is a fairly simple system and obviously would like to keep it that way. Plus what is wrong with the "Groups" system. It's like a forum within a forum.

Cheers,
Jim

Jim I realise the basic division of the site but I find it frustrating that wheeled vehicles like trucks and other softskins get sidelined due to the appeal of armour subjects. This happens at shows as well more often then not.

To give them a forum of their own would alow them to stand apart from the armour and come to prominence in their own right.

You (through armorama) host other sites. How about hosting a forum (read site) on wheeled stuff called "Roo's truck forum". :-)

This way a couple of us that do softskin type wheeled vehicles could run it under your supervision.

How does this sound?

Here's hoping
Cliff

PS> without getting at anyone or anything we have a DSB forum but no wheeled vehicle forum. Really doesn't add up to me.

Why is this any different than the softskin sub-forum?

Cause it would not be hidden away in armour!

It would be a stand alone unit rather then overshadowed like it is by the armour

Hmm...

Well I was going to suggest this earlier and I would be fine with this as a "hosted forum". However I would want some real thought put into it. For instance would the forum owner(s) be willing to promote the forum on the net? This would give it a better chance of actually succeeding in the long run.

Thanks,
Jim

Thank you Jim I have emailed you on this matter and look forward to discussing the idea more fully with you in the near future.

As a big fan of military trucks, but, not such a big fan of tracked armor, I say this...

neat.
Nice call TankCarl.
Good backup Roo.
I'd promote it, Jim.
