The Scimitar in Operation Telic and if so, would it be correct to place one in a dio with the Challenger 2? Any pics of the Scimitar in Iraq online?

Only if you do a Scimitar with LEP upgrades. There is a Castoff kit for this. I haven't built it but you can read my review here:

I don't know much about actual usage but it's a recon vehicle so it's possible for the two to be seen together.

Actually, no, you wouldn't see a Scimitar with a Cr2. Even with the LEP, Scimitars do not have the same x-country abilities as the Cr2.
If they did like they did in Desert Sabre, the CVR(T)s' would have been in seperate units as support to SPs' and anti-tank units.
You would be more likely to see Warriors with Cr2s'.
Now a Land Rover with a Scimitar...
