Hi guys,
Finally, my dio is finished. Yaay!
However, the expert photographer that is to take my pics is in the hospital, recovering from a broken leg. Damn!
When he recovers, he will take shots of the dio in his ass-kicking camera (I wish I had one like his). i will then submit it to armorama for either a "Feature" or an "On Display" article.
I took these pics using my camphone. It's not as clear as the shots taken from a digicam since the resolution is not that sharp. I just like to share how it looks like right now.
Furthermore, something seems to be wrong with my account. I cannot upload pics to my gallery. So I decided to load the pics up in yahoo photos and provide a link here.
I will add more photos as, presently, I am in the working right now.
This last picture was manipulated by warthog and some friends of mine. They made it look like it was from an old newspaper. They also added the mountain range in the background.
Of course, comments and criticisms are welcome.
Angela
P.S. Edit"
Hmmm....the pics are showing and I just remembered that armorama does not support direct linking to yahoo. My dear friend Tankysgal also pointed this out to me.
I'll just put the URL Links to each picture.

I just made this page so bear with me if you can only see four photos. I will add some more as I go.

Let me be the first to say that i think your diorama is very good. I love your vehicles, you always do such great work with those. The overall theme is nicely laid out. Very good job. I can't wait to see what you do next.
Also can't wait to see the better pics as these are just a bit out of focus..

Very good work especially in the overall mood of the dio. I can almost feel the deariness, tiredness of your figures thanks to the muck, the barren landscape, the snow and of course the figures. The B&W really reinforces the whole composition not to mention the realism.
Just a tiny comment on the tree. They seem to have neatly cut off branches. Unless they were purposely sawed off, snapped branches tend to have broken ends that are more uneven or jagged. Sorry, this is what you get when you hang around plants too long like myself. Have to stop talking to plants.
Looking forward to the better pics. Hope your photographer recovers soon and the frustrating business with your uploading gets solved. Didn't Staff Jim mentioned something in your post earlier?

Thank you for the comments gals and guys.
Don't worry people. I just received word that he's recovering. I'll make him take pics soon.
Beachbum, thanks for the observation. Yes, I will do something about it. That tree originally came from a twig where I cut off the unwanted branches. I'll try to figure out how to make them more natural.
Yep, I told Jim about my problem. I think it has something to do with the format of the pics since these were taken by a camphone, not a digicam.
More criticisms and comments are welcome.

No worries on the tree Angela. Just take a sharp blade and shave off the ends a bit and you have a broken branch. Add a small branch or two to the base of the tree and semi cover it with snow and you have even more realism.

Hi Angela
Its great to see your diorama finished.
I can really appreciate the amount of work in all the figures plus three vehicles.
You have done a superb job by the photo's. The overall atmosphere is compelling, chilling and gritty all at the same time. Great stuff.
I agree that the Black & White one is very very effective.
I think slightly better photos will allow all your hardwork to truly shine. Cant wait to see them.
Well done my friend.
Regards

Whew!
I was finally able to upload pics by opening/saving the files with "Paint."
Here are some pics. There are more in my gallery. Remember that these were taken by a camphone so the resolution is not that great.
Don't worry, I'll have this shot by a good digicam.
From an old newspaper?
Angela
P.S. The Panzer IV commander is a Verlinden resin figure, courtesy of Blade48mrd (thank you so much Mike). It wasn't painted at the time when I took the shot. It's painted now.

Angela -
As always just plain outstanding. The "bleak" winter atmosphere is captured and expressed very effectively. The whole composition speaks for itself. I've truly enjoyed watching this develop and the final pictures will do it it more justice. I think you've already mentioned this earlier, but maybe add a little foliage to the PzKpfw IV? The time and effort has paid off in a superb diorama. Congrats,

Wow that's a huge dio. Now i see where all your individual vehciles are used. I like it very much. I don't know if it was your intention but the overall dio has a miserable feeling in terms of color. It enhances the miserable emotions the troops must be feeling.

Yep, I will add some foliage to the tank. Maybe between the shurtzen braces. The Panzer IV reference that you sent me (thank you very much for it) also had a picture of a P4 with hay instead of foliage.
Thank you very much for the resin figures, too.

Yep, it's quite a big dio. I underestimated (overestimated??) its size but I had fun doing it. My next dio, however, will be smaller.
LOL, it was not my intention of putting "miserable" colors although if you see the actual dio, it is bleak. The colors are due to the not-so-average resolution of a camphone. My digicam is with my dad who is in the US right now.
Guys and gals, thank you so much for the comments and criticisms. Yes, I will submit a feature once I get all good quality pics collected.
Of course, any more comments, criticisms are still welcome.
