Is it possible to use oil paints on AFV without thinning it, Could it be applied straight from the tube. I was thinking of useing oil paints to paint the small detail like seats, lights, signals, etc. or even the gunmetail on the guns in oil paints.
Paint chips in Oil paints if it's possible what is a good color.
Can I also use oil paints to drybrush with instead of artcrlics from Model Master.
Thanks for the HELP
Happy Modeling

Hi Tom,
I'll use oilpaints for anything ( also for the chips! ).
For example i'll use a desert yellow base, with green camo. For chips i'll use for the camo the yellow color and for the yellow the green color.
This is an example that i'll use. Itīs hard to tell what for chips youīll use for your paint job, itīs based on the base color.
You can also use oil paints for drybrushing instead of acrylics.
I hope this helps!

Sure, you can use artist's oils straight from the tube. One drawback is the much longer drying time, though.
Some people prefer artisit oil for leather seat because it has a subtle texture to it that bottle oil and aryclics do not have.
HTH,
Shaun
