Hi folks,

Need some help on my current dio depicting a little known raid by the British SBS on a boat anchored at Greenwich, London on the Thames. The boat's name is Fox Trot Five.

Maybe our British friends could offer some insight coz I need to know what is the color of the Thames around late Autumn in the London area. It's hard to figure it out from the photos I've seen.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Like most large urban rivers the Thames is a yucky green/brown. Permanently.

Wow thanks for that speedy reply Dave. So it would appear that urban rivers in most parts of the world have something in common besides the radioactive mutant catfishes living in them. There I was thinking the Thames would be more of a grayish dark blue shade at least from the tourist brochures.

Yucky green/brown, would that be more green than brown or vice versa?

Thanks again.

Look up "Yucky green/brown" in the dictionary, and it will offer theThames as an example. It wont matter what shades you use ... have ir it plenty yucky and plenty dark ... and you wont be wrong! There is strong currents, and a lot of silt moves about. make sure you show this along the sides!8)

Got that Plasticbattle. Thanks a lot. Super dark, Yucky-brown it is with a good measure of silt. I'll just go down to town here and take a pic of our yucky-brown urban river for additional reference.
