My moisture trap failed me yesterday, but that ain't the issue. I use enamels while painting so the water drop that hits won't blend in. I usually keep on painting changing the angle of the model and airbrush flow in an attempt to blow moisture off. Sometimes this is successful. Could I instead gently blot water off? Anybody try this? I had one low visibillity area (bottom of a tail wing on an aircraft) have the paint mold around leaving a pebble-like area. Can this be gently sanded down?

I have only had to deal with water in my air once and it completely ruined the bottom of my Accurate Miniatures TBF Avenger. I could have maybe salvaged it with careful sanding and re-scribing of the recessed panel lines. The damage done was too disappointing to me so I tossed the whole works. I had tried to blot the water from the plane but that made it worse. I would suggest trying to wick the moisture away by touching the water with a dry paint brush on the order of a #1 size. Avoid touching the paint. I am skeptical of it working but you never know. I am sure that if you use care, you can sand off the pebble-like area and touch it up. I hope the area isn't too large. I give you credit for going on with the repairs.
