Recently I bought the Hobby Fan conversion set for the M984A1 wrecker. Someone told me that the kit is actually a M984E1 (the prototype). Does anyone if it is the A1 or the E1 and if it is the E1 hwat I should change to make it a A1 ??
Thanks in advance,
Marc

The E1 had a mini cargo bed similar to the regular M977 HEMTT. The A1 has the series of tool storage bins and compartments.
The mini bed was replaced on the test E-models with the production storage bed so you will see M984E1 that are indistinguishable from M984A1s. So there's really no difference.

If you need reference pictures of the M984E1, take a look here:
M984E1 Walk Arounds
I have 4 different walk arounds of the E1 model and a couple shots of them in Iraq. I do have more to post yet. If you need these soon, let me know and I will post them ASAP.
