these are just a few pics of the dio as i begin. some pics of the figure are w/o skin tone because I knew it would come out below standard. my local hobby store just doesn't carry the right colors for a proper skin execution however, here is the groundwork, it's a sort of shallow trench, the clay bank with oregano grass and soon-to-be-weathered metal plate all awaiting as much perfection as I can bestow upon them. also, the ground has recently been applied with white glue and clorox shower tile cleaner.
covering seams with elmer's
also not pictured are some various articles of trench junk. please be abusive to any extent with your comments, for it is the best way to learn
:-) :-) :-)

Hey bro, you skin tones are awesome. Maybe work on weathering your men a little more. Also one thing i noticed was that your using tamiya. Im not against tamiya really. Its just their figures arent molded very well. Also, in alot of their kits the have the same molded figures. Maybe surf the web for some new brands like Warrior, Verlinden, Dragon, Wolf, etc. But other than that everything looks awesome, you have a good concept for (im guessing) your first dio. Keep us posted.

Nice work on the figure spectre,, so this is my only chance to view the new tamiya 1/25 figure...
they're made of metal don't they?? my local tamiya dealer started to take the stocks some 3 months ago but i couldn't have the chance to look into them and now here's my chance...
looking at the figure i think it's from tamiya old infantry set. somehow they enlarge the scale to 1/25.
anyway, nice paint job. but on the groundwork, what is those reddish-brown soil??

I can see the pics.
Spectre: IMHO I like what I see. It might just be the camera angle, but in the 2nd pic it looks like there are still mold lines on the arm. In my experience metal figures have needed alot of cleaning (some of the manufacturers that specialize in metal in particular). Also, your paint finish looks a bit glossy - again it might just be the picture.
TsunamiBomb: these are the Tamiya 1/25 metal figures, not the 1/35 plastic figures. I think it only fair to compare apples to apples.
