Hi Everyone, After reading the plaster of paris thread here and talking to a couple members I realized celluclay isnt available everywhere in our modeling world. So after doing a web search I came up with a link that describes how one can make the paper pulp and the glue to make there own celluclay(paper mache) well here it is:
http://www.papiermache.co.uk/
You will find the recipes on the right hand side of the page for the pulp. I hope this is of some use to all the modellers out there that dont have access for something a lot of us take for granted. Cheers Kevin

Jackhammer also PMd me this site.
It's also a nice site for paper mache crafts too, if you are into such things.
Thanks jackhammer.

Neat site.... thanks Kevin and Angela.
In my very limited experience with plaster type stuff (one very simple dio...still in progress) I used a silicon based filler. Tetrion, Polyfilla, or in this case, Ace brand type stuff. I found it easy to work with.
Or am I barking up the wrong tree again... ?
Cheers

From my experience, you gotta have lotsa patience when using Celluclay. It takes sometime for it to dry unless you accelerate it by baking in the oven. One good alternative to it is Sculptamold. It's just like Celluclay but dries much faster even without baking & I think it has a better texture.

I put newspaper and water in the liquidifier(its that right?) then I apply white glue.To the ground textures i put some fine sand

Don't know if this helps at all, but I know Michael's has Celluclay...it does take a loooong time to dry...haven't tried Scultamold yet, but I'd like to find some to see how it works.

I got mine on line from Blick Art Materials. They sell it at $3.28 per 3 lb. bag. From my experience I could say that Sculptamold is much better than Celluclay.
