I'm working on a diorama for an upcoming model show and need you assistance in determining which catagory - small military diorama or humorous diorama.
The diorama is composed of 2 vehicles. A 4thID M2A1 and an Iraqi BMP. The Iraqi vehicle is abandoned, burned out and covered with rust and one of the Abrams crew is painting it with grafiti.
The idea I have for the diorama's nameplate is, "Tagged"
So what do you modelers think??? Humor or serious.

I think it depends on how you are leaning ,which in turn dictates the pose and expression of your figures. If it were me I always go for the less serious side I think the pose and facial expression you convey on your figs is going to dictate which direction your dio goes. I vote for the light side!

Have to agree wit PvtParts - depends on the posture of the figures and the graffiti being painted.....
If it's a silly expression or "fred was here" image then humerous, if it's more along the lines of "eat this Sadam" then I'd go serious.

i agree w/ both, less humourous side would be a good change, it would also be something fun to work with. what do you want to put on it? since its a 4th ID M2, i'd go with something like "4thID wuz here"

You could also use "Armorama" for the grafitti on the tank. Cheers Kevin

I'd tend to go with the more serious approach or kind of a defiant one. Grafetti to say something like "Compliments of 4th ID" or "Here's the 4th ID answer to your question". Just my thoughts,

Maybe you could combine humor with a serious message on your diarama.. a couple that come to mind that might highlight the Iraqi side of things could be.
" Stepping Stones to Bagdad"
Or
"Iraqi Mile Marker #32"
Or on a more serious side
"Freedom isn't Free, for either side"
take these as you will just tossing stuff into the wind :>

Actually I was think more in line of:
"Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue" 4th ID.
Serious - I am leaning this way.
