Hi all
Amongst other things i'm currently building tamiya's Horch 1a with Flak 38, my plan is to mount the AA gun on the truck. I have build the board on which the flak will be mounted and am wondering how (or even if) it would be secured. My concern is that there is'nt much room on the deck and i can image the gun crew wouldn't want too much cable etc to get in the way during combat.
the following are questions that fit some of my thoughts,
Did the germans used eye bolts?
Cable, rope or leather strops?
Would sandbags placed on the flak base be sufficient to how the flak in place during firing?
Thanks John

Shepard Paine did this conversion in his book "Modeling Tanks and Military Vehicles" (ISBN: 0-89024-045-0) on pages 36-39. The book is readily available and is a great reference on conversions.

He modified the bed and removed the wheels from the flak 38 trailer. It looks pretty good.
