Here is another update of my rifle dio:
Remember, nothing is glued yet! the sandbags are made in segments for better handeling and the scatterd gear still needs to be sanded etc
but, it gives a better idea of the (almost final lay-out), still a lot of little details (and grass) to be added
The GI's don't have theire personal gear yet, but that is for after the paint job and the MP40 and carabine needs theire straps
I just noticed: I took the pictures outside and it is very windy outside, the first GI with the Garand is shifted, normaly his face would be looking at his Lt
Let me know what you think
Oh, the barb-wire still his spikes

Ronny,
I think that is great. Did you use an M-1 stock cut down, or smething else?

It may just be the pictures but did you redo the plank floor at all? I remember you talking about the "amateurness" of it and the pictures seem to so it as a little different.

That looks awesome!
Two things:
Are you going to put a trigger on the bb gun stock?
and,
I believe that the sandbags are a bit too straight and are in need of a few bullet holes.
But thats just the opinion of one little Soldier.
Robert.

ugh, you fellows are trying to convince me to redo the sandbags, Darn there are more then 100 of them
But .... maybe I will do just that
Nope I did not redo the floor, I only distresd it a little more with a knife
A triger? In the beginning yes, but I can't find any (did not come with the rifle stock and now it is to late, the hole is filled

That is just amazing-1st thing that came to my mind was "Holy mothers of modeling gods-this is genius!"
Really amazing.
I agree on the sandbags and as to the triger-make one and glue it in-will add that extra touch to it.
Looking great... makes me want do one... but that would be plagierism. Great work.

WHY JUST WHY?? would you do that to a Garand im guessing?? Do you know what i would do to get my hands on a garand or a kar98 or any WWII weapon? I can tell you right now i would never destroy it. But great job on the trenches and the sandbags. Im lovin the barbed wire. The figures are gonna look awesome on when they are done being painted. Great work. Since its a german trench maybe have more grenades and mines laying around. Also put a MG on the sandbags. Put more stuff in the trenches to add more flavor and show that the germans were taken out immediatly or ran like a bunch of scared chickens.

This is a fantastic idea of presentation. As a hunter for 3 generations I've grow up with guns. I had 3 BB guns, but I never could imagine this kind of combination.
I love this work

looks good, but it seems lopsided to me, theres too much rifle on the left, and too much dio on the right. I would cut the stock down a bit, so the actual dio becomes more centered.
